Strategies for Change
The following strategies for Trusted Design were developed by a team of experts and advocates through the Tech Policy Design Lab (TPDL). They focus on two areas: mobilising diverse changemakers and creating new industry standards.
Mobilising for change
Through these strategies, diverse stakeholders across a range of contexts and industries will come together to change the conversation and advocate for Trusted Design.
Build a Coalition to Mobilise Change
A coalition of diverse stakeholders initiating dialogue, promoting Trusted Design Norms, and supporting jurisdictional regulation at a global scale.
Create a Crowdsourced Reporting Tool
A reporting platform to make Deceptive Design more identifiable, reportable, and trackable for users and regulators.
Building new norms
Through these strategies, new norms and standards for Trusted Design will be created, guiding industry reform and regulation.
Develop and Adopt Trusted Design Norms
A set of standards, principles, and guidelines that provide industry guidance on ethical UX/UI.
